Here in Israel my oncocyclus are in the low-no summer water part of the garden. They do great just leaving the alone wth some added spring watering. Summer water was the ingredient for doomed failure. I am amazed the do well in Maryland or the Pacific NW with summer water! Here is a great article on speciation on Oncos and how they don't fit regular patterns.
