Fritillaria recurva and its relatives

Jane's report on fritillarias gave me a dash of nostalgia for the
California Fritillaria. Attached is a photo from a few years back in
Berkeley. The four species, starting clockwise, are the beautiful red
Fritillaria recurva, Fritillaria affinis, Fritillaria pluriflora, and
Fritillaria purdyi. These are frail but lovely reminders of spring time on
the Pacific Coast.
