Thanks to a suggestion on this forum, I ordered _Plants of the World, _by Christenhusz, Fay, and Chase. Now I don't sleep any more, I just wallow in this magnificent tome. It's big, it's lushly illustrated, it's comprehensive, and the text is enlightening. There are even ribbons bound in so that you can mark your place. It cost about $99 from the University of Chicago Press. I suggest you and your family live on beans for two weeks to save up for this book and light up your life. (You can even learn about beans from the book.) Probably I'm the last person to find out that hops and cannabis are related. There are ferns that are only one cell thick.
