Hello Rimmer, Many Lachenalia produce bulbils, most of the ones I know of doing that produce them at the leaf base but some also along the leaf. I cannot see a decline in your pictures, why do you mention that? I have never done it so far but I know that Lachenalia can be propagated by leaf cuttings which means that their leaves have regenerative potential.
