The dry season here is roughly from January 1st until December 31st. Some melting snow in winter and spring, occasional rain in summer (often in the form of gigantic hail). Usually nothing from mid-July until the end of the year. 
Water here is very cheap, but I am constrained by the sprinkler-destroying activities of a certain canine who lives here.
