There was an article in one of the old IBS journals featuring Komoriya’s hybridizing work including Gloriosa. He had developed a pure white and other colors many years ago. I believe he had an exceptional offer for the rights to the pure white but a worker had accidentally shipped his few stock plants to another nursery. He had double flowered types as well. There is a pure orange cultivar that has been available wholesale for several years, so a lighter version of that does not seem unlikely, and probably could be easy to obtain just by growing out a decent number of the Orange Glory seeds (I think that’s the cultivar name).
