The city's two botanical gardens are your best bet, and both are easily accessed
by public transport. Both have good examples of native bulbs. Their websites
list the collections.
1. Van Dusen Botanical Garden
5151 Oak St, Vancouver, BC
Here is their list of blooms:
March
Early Rhododendrons, Helleborus, Winter Aconite (Eranthus hyemalis), Crocus,
Cornelian Cherry
April
Magnolias, Rhododendrons, Japanese Cherries, Pacific Dogwood, Camellias,
Spring-flowering bulbs

2. UBC botanical Garden
6804 SW Marine Drive, Vancouver, BC
I could not find a list of bulbs blooming in March-April, though I know they
have both natives and exotics.

Subject: [pbs] Vancouver area-bulb sites of interest? Last two weeks of April

I am planning a trip to the Vancouver area of Canada at the last two weeks of
April.

I am wondering where the best gardens, parks or other areas might be to see
native bulbs in situ, or other bulbs in blossom from various parts of the world
at that time for that matter.

Would be great to hear any ideas or suggestions, Im probably limited by public
transport too.

Many thanks

all the best

Paul, Scotland, UK.
