The plot thickens. Interestingly enough two bulb catalogs arrived yesterday, eager to sell me daffodils and tulips and more, for fall planting. Turned to the page for ornithogalum and . . . Scheepers is offering Ornithogalum ponticum Sochii as a good replacement for Ornithogalum magnum "that is no longer grown." Anyone know A) why O. magnum is no longer being grown, and / or B) know anything about O. ponticum Sochii I have e-mailed to the garden's owner, asking if he'd like to trade for colchicums.
