Collecting Lilium henryi seed

 Hi
I need to collect Lilium henryi seed for a seedex. For me this lily ripens quite late in the season, and at present has fully formed and well coloured (some green but mostly dark red/brown) pods, but they show little sign, of drying and splitting to release the seed. Can I hurry this along without damaging the seed? The stems vary from 4 to 7 feet tall, depending I guess on bulb size, but the bulb clumps of just 3 or 4 growing centres were ~12 inches diameter last year, before I split them up. Not something you would want to sell by mail-order.
It is quite mild at present with some quite warm sunny days but cool and frost free, so far, at night.
