I recently had a fasciated (crested) Lilium formosanum bloom in my garden. It wasn't as extreme as some pictures I have seen, so the result was beautiful rather than grotesque. My understanding is that cresting in lilies is usually a one-time event, but this plant had odd, branching growth last year, too.
