Plants of the World Online, http://www.plantsoftheworldonline.org/ is a more up to date list from Kew than the Plant List. Some names that were accepted on the Plant List have changed with new studies since the latest version of that list is dated 2013. They are uploading new information all the time so I find when I'm working on the wiki these days a lot more information than there was in the beginning. There is distribution information and a list of synonyms. Another feature I like is the bibliography. If the information has been added you can discover details about when and by whom the species was named and who agrees and disagrees with that name and if those resources are listed you may be able to find them online and read them for yourself. It can be a very valuable resource. For example I'll use Lycoris and then Lycoris radiata. These are the accepted species of Lycoris from that resource: Lycoris × albiflora Koidz.
