Growing Gladiolus flanaganii

It grows well for me in plastic nursery pots here in carnation, Washington,
which has a distinctly cool/wet climate. I keep the pots dry in winter and
I water them well in summer (most of our rain is in the winter). We hit 90F
a few times in summer but very rarely 100F, night time temps are rarely
above 70F, and we’ll get regular cool misty rains well into July and then
starting again in September. G. flanaganii seems more tolerant of the wet
than some other winter-dormant gladiolus species I grow.
