Probably the most important communication I want to send to the list is a huge THANK YOU to retiring President Nhu Nguyen, and also to the rest of the long-serving board of PBS. Nhu has patiently guided the board for quite a number of years now, bringing us his plant expertise as well as organizational skills to help maintain the popular society that we all know and continue to support with our donations of seed and bulbs, contributions to the Bulb Garden, and yearly dues. He is taking a rest and focusing on obtaining tenure at his university in Hawaii (how many remember how long it has been since he sailed across the ocean?), and I'm sure at some point in the future he will once again be available to serve on the board. As for all the other long-serving board members, I will say the same for all of them-without their willingness to serve, donations of time and work, PBS would not be the active, on-going and enjoyable society it is today. But these thanks also apply to you as supportive members who are always so willing to step in and donate seeds and bulbs, photos for the wiki and incredible amounts of plant knowledge. I read various news sites every day. The next most frequently used website belongs to PBS and I'd rather read my PBS email than almost any other kind. For all of you, keep up the good work!
