Hi Sarah,
I am in western New Jersey. My greenhouse is heated to 50 degrees
Fahrenheit. Sunlight is better in summer (when shade cloth goes on) that
in winter. I agree that lachenalia are a good choice. Would also suggest
freesia, for good looks and delicious fragrance. Also rhodophiala, bloom
in autumn. Cyclamen hederifolium and C. persicum. Look in supermarkets,
even, for small persicum cultivars sold around Christmas. And various
Oxalis.

Have fun!

Judy in New Jersey where winter is especially soggy. But snow will come,
I'm sure.
