Jane: I have a number of Clivias that I've had for years. I keep them on the floor of a cold greenhouse at around 45-50 during our NE winters. They go on a unheated porch in summers to get early morning light. They grow as under story plants with no direct sunlight which can burn them. Found this out the hard way. I keep them absolutely dry from September until spring. Get them to flower on occasion but not every year. I think they have to get a little bit below 50 F in winter, and you might have to put the pots outdoors for some of the summer, but the flowers are typically brightly-colored, and the foliage looks lusher than that of many bulbs.
