For obvious nomenclatural reasons, I'm intrigued by Allium plummerae (though as far as I know, I'm no relation to Sara Plummer Lemmon). However, I have never seen the species offered for sale, and I have no idea whether it would adapt to cultivation in a hot, humid east coast environment. Can anyone comment on either point? Where might I obtain seed or bulbs, and is it possible to grow them in North Carolina?
