Yes, please try to propagate them. They are beautiful. And I am pretty sure that virus has nothing to do with this sport.

at the moment the fall blooming crocuses are in full flower in my
garden. Some of the Crocus speciosus ('Conqueror' I think) are double
lined as you can see in the attached photo. I have not seen a "filled"
crocus before - is this normal oder is it caused by a disease? I know
viruses can do funny things to bulbs (and other plants)... Or do you
think it is worth trying to propagate them?
