I would strongly recommend to anyone interested in the flora and scenery of Chile -- take a look at this issue!  The pictures accompanying John Watson's article are wonderful.
There's also an illustrated article on the expansion of the genus Zephyranthes, mentioned in Lee Poulsen's e mail a day or so ago.
