I checked the morphological characteristics of Iris subbiflora as suggested: it has taller leaves than the stem, the stem bears only one flower and petals are dark purple. My iris on the contrary has subequal leaves to the stem bearing two flowers. I have also checked the characteristics of Iris lutescens and I can conclude that my iris is Iris lutescens.
