Hi Vlad:
I have one and it spends summers in  the cool basement.  No water or light.  It usually shows growth around late August early Sept.

Dear all,
Anyone growing Boophone haemanthoides, I need you advice please.
I know that is it a winter growing bulb, but how does it behave during summer?
It grows in the biggest clay pot I had in my hard (about 40 cm wide and deep). Was this a mistake, since it is a young offset (I assume about 3 years old)?
Any advice is much appreciated, thank you.
Have a good weekend,
