I love Ghaskins Perpetual. I grow it from seed and it's tough and no, four plants are not too many!!!. The more modern varieties often have red skin on the stems, but Glaskins does not. The flavor is just as good if not better even if the stalks might not be quite as big. It's a big feeder and prefers manure, and yes, I harvest when I feel like it and it keeps on growing. I get my seed from Pinetree Seeds in Maine.
