Looks to be B. haemanthoides.
Summer grower and red as in "haem"
Hope for seed set.

I have had this bulb for perhaps 10 years and it is finally coming into 
flower.   It is unlike all of my others in that the leaves grow downward 
and the flowers appear to be pink.  From the wiki it appears to be B. 
haemanthoides but I'm not sure.  It is flowering at the same stage of 
development as the one in the wiki photo.
