Awful news about Ted. I had not heard before now of his passing. I remember several talks he gave in Portland. And running into him on study weekends and at national meetings of NARGS. A live wire, for sure and he will be greatly missed.

Mary Sue's comments on donating them to a hort society to be sold, ensuring they will go to good homes, is a very good way to deal with this problem. Perhaps more reliable and less costly to the donor than other options, in terms of time or money.
