 You need to use a fine sugar, "icing sugar", or the ants separate out the crystals and don't take the borax. If you make a paste it maybe solves the problem. I am told sodium bicarbonate instead of borax, may work too but not tried it. It's ant festival time here with an very warm spring.Now if I could find something to keep the deer away without resorting to fencing, or stop the pheasants decimating the pulsatillas ..... ;-(

I've found that my ants don't respond to sugar and borax, but cornmeal and borax worked.
