Speaking of Seeds

They vary.  Most of mine were from several alpine club seedexes.

Lachenalia salteri from Silverhill, sown in May, germinated in 9 days.
L pustulata also took 9 days

Lachenalia reflexa sown in January and kept at 21 C  (70 F) germinated in 30 days.

Lachenalia bachmannii and L roodeae sown in February germinated in 20 days, and L rosea in 27 days.
