This cross has been undertaken here in Australia between B marginata and a
white flowered form of Amaryllis belladonna (or perhaps an Amaryllis
'Multiflora' as referred to in the US), with a very similar outcome. The
resultant progeny has been commercially registered and has been available
for perhaps 5 years, released as Amarygia 'Bozandycol' and is now being
vegetatively reproduced. There are generally around 20 flowers in a head
and each flower generally about the same size as a typical Amaryllis
belladonna flower. The leaves, numbering approximately 20 per plant, are
on average 7.5cm wide and 45cm long and lie flat like the Brunsvigia parent.
