Dear Steve,

I appreciate the message and the goof. I have been ’trying’ to import Lycoris from China for about 30 years with some success. And although I have distributed hundreds of bulbs of many ’new to cultivation’ species and hybrids, these bulbs remain uncommon and sought after. I have discussed with friends in China and they have similar frustration. Lycoris simply have a different pattern of dormancy and planting from the traditional ‘Dutch products - (Tulips and Narcissus) so they do not get the attention they deserve. I think there is still a good chance for some one with the right climate, the room and the patience to understand these to grow them in sufficient numbers to make them available at decent prices and in numbers.

Glad you are enjoying these and I keep seeking more reliable growers to help share these choice easy garden bulbs. I will write to you privately too. Best to you and Cathy Jim W,.
