Have a careful look down the bulb where the leaves emerge.
Looks to be a Narcissus bulb fly action/
Was the bulb outside?

Subject: [pbs] Hippeastrum papillo from BX 467

Looking for help with this hippeastrum.  I planted it and it was starting
to leaf out then over the last few days the leaves started to turn brown
and appear desicated.

It gets some morning sun and I had been watering it twice a week.

The bulb still feels firm.

Any suggestions, I'm doing something wrong.
