Dear PBS Friends, As I am cleaning up and prepping for winter, I have a pot of x Howardara ‘Riley Kate’ available for trade. The pot is well established with 4 or 5 growing heads (or 6 ?). This is a very rare triple hybrid between a Rain Lily (Zephyranthes) crossed with a Mexican Aztec lily (Sprekelia) and this hybrid crossed with an Amaryllis (Hippeastrum). The resulting flower resembles a brilliant red Rain Lily. Not widely grown or available, it is believed to be hardy to at least Zone 7, but should grow where ever Rain Lilies are happy. I would like to trade the entire pot full for something else (rain lilies do terrible and none have been hardy outdoors in Kansas City).
