Congratulations Jim. As you know, I grow mostly in pots, and getting certain bulbs to bloom can be a real enigma. Often, unresponsive to TLC, endlessly non compliant bloomers get pushed to a corner and subjected to "benign neglect," where they might suddenly thrive and eventually bloom. With resurgent interest in their wellbeing, I pull them out... lavish them with TLC once again... which is often when they ultimately croak! LOL

I finally planted it 2 years ago and it continued to behave weirdly until this winter when it retained its leaves. Lo and behold I glanced outside this morning and saw it was coming into flower! Appears to be a coranica.
Unlike so many other plants that are easily identified I find bulbs are a special treat when they finally reveal themselves by flowering.
