Sylvia, I'm afraid this doesn't directly apply to renewing a seed import permit, but once you have your permit and want to get additional green and yellow labels, I've found somewhere along the line in dealing with APHIS, that you don't need to go through their website to request the labels - you need only email them using this address: GreenandyellowPlantslabelrequest@aphis.usda.gov. *But*, you do need to give certain precise, concise information in your request. That would be - the number of labels you're requesting, your permit number, and the port of entry you're using on your permit. Here is a quote from my last request: "Dear APHIS, I would like to order four (4) green and yellow import labels through my APHIS permit #P37-16-XXXXX, via port of entry of WA, SeaTac. Thank you very much for your assistance." [note I X'd out my actual number] Include your name and mailing address as they're listed on your permit, and I also include my phone number. That's all it takes. The labels have always arrived within two weeks. At least this has worked for me. So much quicker and easier than going through their website.
