Hi Mike,

I'm not aware of those cultivars, but flowering in December in the
northern hemisphere is not new for Kniphofia, it's normal behavior for
Kniphofia sarmentosa. As for hardiness: their borderline temperature is
somewhere around -11°C - that's what killed one in budding stage for me,
after flowering through a milder winter before (-8°C). Death was a slow
process, rotting over several weeks. A younger plant, not in flower,
survived.

I wouldn't be surprised if those cultivars were sarmentosa based and had
a similar borderline temperature.
