Sadly, South Africa is also overburdened with corruption and crime. One vendor told me they only ship via DHL Air because internal mail is slow and frequently stolen, and had me wire them the funds rather than mailing a check for the same reason. Note that if you use this method, rather than Air Mail, once it gets to the APHIS station, it won't be forwarded on to you through the mail for free. So you need to go online and get a prepaid UPS Shipping Label for getting your package from APHIS to you, and email that to the vendor before they ship. They print it out and put it in the box, then after inspection, APHIS slaps the label on and hands it off to UPS.
