Alstroemeria chilena hibrida

On the current SX list of seeds obtained from a supplier in Brazil,
there are several "Alstroemeria chilena hibrida" items. Am I correct in
interpreting this as "hybrids of various Chilean species"? As far as I
know, there is no A. species called "chilena," but that is the Spanish,
and probably Portuguese, adjective for "Chilean," and in those languages
such adjectives are not capitalized (as they are in English). The usual
species epithet for Chile is "chilensis," and no Alstro is called that
either.

I see no reason for growing these unless one knows their pedigrees.
