Like Steve, I am also a member of that group that would welcome more information/discussion about Clivia. Although Like Steve, I am also a member of that group that would welcome more information/discussion about Clivia. Although I grow geophytes (with mixed success) from southern Africa, California, southern South America, the Mediterranean region, and western Asia, the bulk of my collection is *Clivia miniata *grown from seed, including a genetic pool of the other five Clivia species. Although some seed are from the BPS SX, courtesy of Rimmer, most are from hybridizers/vendors in South Africa, and are in various stages of growth, from presently germinating to fully mature plants. Most are still in the intermediate stage. At this time all have been moved into the minimally heated hoop house, except for those seedlings crowding me off my dining table. I've found it difficult to access current, new information on the state of Clivia in cultivation, so am very open to hearing from others about their experience. I have so much yet to learn. I will attempt to send two photos (not had success with this before): --one, a poor quality photo of a presently blooming Clivia. I bought it years ago as an unbloomed *Clivia nobilis*, but through observation, believe it to be a *Clivia gardenii *X* Clivia miniata.* *--*the second is of a just finished blooming *Oxalis polyphylla* var. *heptaphylla*, if I remember correctly is originally from Diana at Telos. Regards, Mike zn 7, western Washington state, cool mediterranean to pbs, Steve I'm certainly in that group. I have at least half a dozen C. miniata cultivars, mostly from seed from people on the old CLIVIA-ENTHUSIAST Yahoo group to which I belonged for years, now defunct I suppose. I also grow several of the other species. (One of my clones of C. robusta came from a BX back in 2012.) Since that mailing list vanished I haven't kept up - web-based forums are a lot less useful and require a lot more work than mailing lists, at least for me (I know that opinion makes me a minority, but I've used both extensively, both personally and professionally) so I don't know what the current state of taxonomy or breeding is. But I'd like to know, so I hope we'll see more Clivia growers join us here. Steve -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
