Hi Arnold,

On closer inspection of my plants and online photos, D. stylosa also has
longitudinal grooves in the leaves, but they are more faint than in D.
capensis or D. zeyheri. D. capensis appears to lack the pale midstripe of
D. stylosa (which is sometimes indistinct) and the leaf surface is more
glossy than in D. stylosa.

I obtained seeds from Silverhill in 2007 and 2008 as D. capensis, from
Nieuwoudtville, both of which turned out to be D. stylosa.

Also from Silverhill around the same time were ex hort seeds of D.
namaquensis. Germination was not strong and 10+ years later the few plants
I have still look like seedlings. A friend in Holland reports a very
similar experience.

Dylan
