As Diana at Telos comments, the customers are the reason we enjoy what we do so much. The photos they send, the comments they make, even occasionally the plants they send us, are what make the nursery business so worthwhile and enjoyable. It's particularly rewarding to deal with the same customers year after year.

Sure, there are a small minority with smartphone trigger finger, a modern disease I think we're stuck with, but we learn as much from our customers as they learn from us. I've worked for other nurseries, fortunately smaller nurseries where we get to know our customers and can better meet their needs and enjoyed those jobs a lot.  Even a current wholesale customer is a joy to work with as they make a strenuous effort to know their suppliers.
