Jane McGary writes about growing species from seed. I only know of T.
saxatilis which is definitely stoloniferous. I once saw it covering a big
patch, about 3 feet x 3 feet in an old, neglected garden. It would
certainly not be happy in a pot, probably even a large one. It would seem
to be ideally suited to a Mediterranean climate and just left to its own
devices.
