I wouldn't touch this Ranunculus with a ten-foot pole as in our climate it grows all too well. There are so many other similar plants to use instead.

I just want to thank our EU contributors on some very thoughtful comments on glyphosate vs Roundup, uses, lack of long-term studies, misuses (too many to count) and some information not easily obtainable. Monsanto is hated by many people for various reasons. As I mentioned, I use it once or twice a year, witness my soon to be rock garden preparation. Then I get out the shovel and if I have to do that area again, I will use 100% apple vinegar.

So Jim, is this Ranunculus hybridizer working towards sterile and non-spreading plants? Which, if so, would mean much less vigor and more difficulty growing but that's a good trade-off, it seems to me.

Frost again this morning - do I start tomato seeds or not?
