I have had this allium for at least 10 years. It may have come from the NARGS seed ex as Allium sp. China but when i grew it in Michigan is seemed to be a rhizomous allium with live roots. When i moved it to Kentucky it became a typical early summer blooming allium with a bulb and offsets. Probably got mixed up in move.
Anyway this 3-4 foot tall allium with 1.5-2 inch drum stick flowers on stiff wiry stems with narrow leaves thst wrap the stem does not seem to be in the PBS photographs wiki. It blooms at the end of the Allium amethystinum season and at the same time as Allium scorodoprasum ssp. rotundum.

 Any ideas on its identity?
