HI Bob,
If true, that they are closing in Irvine, it would be wonderful for both
LA and San Diego to have truly great SA bulb collections, with good sales,
and promotion, educational seminars, and research. I would happily drive
from Santa Monica, as I adore South African plants, bulbs, etc- the Cape is
one of the most exciting places I have been, also the Canary Islands, these
two often work better than many Australian and New Zealand plants.
I am curious about Galtonia that I saw growing in the low mountains near
Melbourne at Mount Macedon . Has anyone had success with it in California
Shall I mention this to the director of the LA Arboretum?
So excited about this,
Cheers,
Nancy
