I should restate my growing medium. The Bessers in the photos are in a sand box. But i also have them in the local red clay soil. They are not fussy other than they need moisture when in growth.
My typical practice for Bessera, Milla,Dandya, Sinningia tubiflora, S. warmingii, Polyanthes, Hymenocallis, Zephyranthes, Agapanthus and other marginal plants is to dig a bunch and save in sand over winter in garage but leave some/ to most in the ground.
So far some or all come up but the winters have been mild for past 3 years.

This year i will leave some milla magnifica and Seemannia nematanthodes in the unprotected garden.
