We are now ready to receive your order for the Saunders' Field Guide to Gladioli of South Africa. The price for members in the EU and the UK is 35$, including postage. Please bear in mind that only fully paid members are eligible for this offer, please check your membership status before paying. We apologize to have to restrict the orders to addresses within the EU and the UK. Ordering is simple: Please pay the amount of 35US$ into the PayPal Account of the Pacific Bulb Society. (arnold140@verizon.net) We cannot accept other methods of payment. Please make sure that the recipient gets the full amount of 35$. Please put Gladiolus Book, your full name, your mailing address and a local phone number into the note section of the PayPal form. That's all you have to do. The logistics work as pointed out here: Once your payments have arrived, our treasurer Arnold Trachtenberg will order the books in South Africa, to be sent directly to Martin Bohnet in Germany. Martin will re-pack them and send out your personal copy. The books will be shipped in boxes of 16 copies by sea and not by expensive air mail, so there will be a delay which is beyond our control. Please order as soon as possible to avoid split shipments, a deadline will be communicated. One remark about pricing: The Pacific Bulb Society is a non profit organisation and does not gain any profit from the sale of this book. It is a service to our members. We would like to point out that we are aware of the fact that the pricing cannot compete with Amazon or WHSmith (in the UK). As we have cooperated with Silverhill in Cape Town for very many years and many of us have known the late owners Rachel and Rod Saunders personally or through email correspondence, we feel strongly committed to their successors. This and the tragic circumstances under which the book was created led us to the decision to order from Silverhill. However, we do understand and accept if you withdraw from your reservation because you prefer or are obliged to look for a cheaper source of this very special book.
