Hymenocallis seed question

I've been growing an H. narcissiflora for the last 6 years or so. Flowers
every year and often looks like it is developing seed pods thereafter.
However, the pods invariably shrivel up after a few weeks and inspection of
the contents reveal no seeds.

Three years ago, I received an Ismene sp. in BX441 (Bob Hoel). It flowered
for the first time this year. The leaves and flowers look exactly like the
H. narcissiflora. The Ismene sp. was just finishing up flowering when the
H. narcissiflora began (maybe an overlap of two days). There were the usual
shrivel-up seed pods on the I. sp., but the seed pods on the H.
narcissiflora continued to develop.

I just cleaned out the H. narcissiflora seed pods today. Two normal sized
seeds (by normal, I mean similar to other Hymenocallis seeds I've
harvested), and about two dozen seeds that look pretty much like pine nuts.

Should I bother trying to sprout the 'pine nuts,' or would that just be a
lesson in frustration?

Also, I read an article a few years ago that strongly suggested H.
narcissiflora was a natural hybrid of an unidentified Ismene and some other
unidentified amaryllid. Are any plants grown from the seeds likely to be
(new) clones of H. narcissiflora, or potentially have other characteristics?

Thanks,

Mike, Zone 6B in the Finger Lakes where the 1st bloom from Eucharis
grandiflora (BX423) opened today
