Alstroemeria

Years ago I had alstromeria outdoors year round in my New Jersey garden. 
The site was close to the house so the basement probably provided some 
additional warmth / protection. Musa basjoo thrives there, cut back and 
winter covered with leaves.

The alstromeria is no longer. Voles ate them one winter.
