Uli could probably grow this one from dry summer moderate California as well. I was disappointed when these became Primulas, but I guess I could continue to call them shooting stars. https://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/index.php/… I grew mine from seed years ago and although the ones in the ground have disappeared, I still have a few in pots and raised beds. I added a photo of the rootstock to the wiki as it is very interesting. I've not tried vegetative propagation.
