I have only tried leaf cuttings from Eucomis
https://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/index.php/…
I trimmed of all the thin leaf material and just used the thickest, more
succulent section, after dusting with sulphur, I expect. Not done it
recently.

This was my first attempt at trying leaf cuttings ... before bloom. I
may try again now since it appears the cuttings from December have
failed to produce bulblets.

Those look amazing in the garden. I tried to use the leaf/bulblet

method last Spring, I believe I waited too long to take the leaf to
propogate bulblets. Have you typically taken the leaf before or after
the
Velthemia blooms?

Getting closer ... Veltheimia bracteata 'Lemon Flame'. San Diego,
February 20, 2022. The Yellow should intensify over the next few days.
Pay no attention to those weeds in the background. ;-) This has been a
poor/no seeder for me, so in December I removed 1 leaf from each of the
larger bulbs, cut in half, and I am attempting to grow bublets off them
in
perlite. Haven't checked yet on progress, but I think our unusually
warm
Winter has been detrimental. Even under a humidity dome, in shade,
those
cut leaves are starting to turn Yellow. :-(
