Seed Ripening

Hi, Jan.

If you're talking about winter-growing bulbs in the northern hemisphere, the
exchange would need to be mid-summer to fall in order to give time for that
year's seeds to ripen (sometime in July to September). In April-May some of
the winter-growing bulbs are still in bloom.

On the other hand, if you're doing seeds for the southern hemisphere,
April-May is a great time for an exchange because it's their planting
season.

If you want to hit both hemispheres, maybe a spring exchange and a fall one
would be best.
