 Uli,
Congratulations!  This is all very cool and great news to all of us who want to do our part to propagate rare species.  Many of us only have one specimen of lots of species that resent self-pollination and we would nonetheless like to get seedlings to expand the supply and at least do a bit to expand the gene pool.
Could you summarize the procedure that finally worked well for you so the rest of us have a working recipe?
Is there some way that the procedure can be put onto the wiki, written up for our bulletin, or otherwise preserved for future reference?  This is a more important topic than some might think!
