Gladiolus seed viability and the Saunders' book

Hi Jan,
I just sprouted Gladiolus saundersii by floating in warm water until I
could see a radicle. It took about a week.  I changed the warm water
several times a day.
I found some glad seeds take longer than others, but this may have
something to do with the age of seeds.
